Mitts & Merrill chipper manual

I have a 16" Mitts and Merrill with a 390 motor. I am looking for a manual. The "Karl" (last name is lost) company no longer exists and finding anything on line seems to be impossible. Any advise?

What kind of information do you need? Those chippers are pretty basic.

The manual would help with restoration and a repair manual with specs like torque. I’ve done the pto over and has a lot of difficulty determining that it was a Funk pto and then getting the right bearings.

Here is the Mitts and Merrill Brush Chipper - Series K12 & K16 service manual. (8 x 12 and 8 x 16 inch throat size). File was broken up into small pieces due to forum upload limitations.

Does anyone know what the gearbox for this chipper uses for oil

Please provide a picture of your chipper with engine details as these chippers were outfitted with different setups. Some had torque converters others had dry clutches. Many were outfitted with non original engines and drives. V8, 6 and 4 cylinder engines were used.
