Muffler Mods for Poulan PP4218A

Anyone done one for this saw?

Never done one on that saw but it looks like removing the plate that covers the muffler mounting bolts and enlarging the outlet holes in the front of the muffler should do the trick. That way if you want to keep the spark arrester, you can bolt it up where that plate used to be.

Joe , if you'll search Nik's Poulan Thread in the Chainsaw Stickeys Forum there are a few guys that have modified the 4218 muffler .
