I have 80v Kobalt stuff, it's been perfect. Chainsaw will cut anything a gas 18" saw will cut, just ~2/3rds as fast. Bar buried in oak? No problem.

I have four batteries, and they have ~8 years of homeowner use on them, in my mower, chainsaw, blower, and string trimmer. They might be down to 80% original capacity now, and have NOT been babied or treated well at all in that time.

I don't think anyone has mentioned that Kobalt is just rebadged Greenworks. If you have a favorable opinion of Greenworks, then you also have a favorable opinion of Kobalt.

Take a look at the Dewalt dcs677 I have been very happy with mine, I use it mainly in noise restricted areas, it keeps the neighbors happy not listening to the 500i screaming at 7 am.
