Picked up a decent 61 on E-Bay. It runs OK, but down on power and compression a tad.
It needs a jug and piston.
I've seen them anywhere from $75 to over $200, aftermarket to factory replacment, recomendations?......Cliff

That depends on what your willing to invest in the saw. OEM is likely to be the highest quality but, as you know it carries the highest cost. As far as other peoples aftermarket kits go, they'll have to speak for themselves. When you consider quality, cost, and waranty. I think our kits will give you the most for the money you invest.

Agreed. So far I'm into this saw for just over $100. It is in excellent condition in all areas, other than the jug/piston. It actually starts and runs quite well, after I cleaned up the P/C as good as possible. Compression is right at 85psi, and the saw hesitates a tad and is noticably down on power in the cut. The carb and fuel system are mint condition, so I'm thinking the blow-by at the piston is causing the running issues. In any case, it's worth throwing some additional money at, to bring it up to par.
Can you provide me with specifics via PM or email to cliffshp@embarqmail.com , on the cost of a piston/jug for this saw, availability, etc.? A link to a website, phone number, etc, will be fine.
Deb takes care of all the business stuff, I really don't have time to surf the NET or websites running down the absolute best price for these parts, and wouldn't know the quality of one brand vs another anyhow?
If you sell a nice aftermarket set-up for this saw, and it is good quality stuff, that's all I require. The only decision I'll have to make is whether to spring $200 for a new Husqvarna P/C, or aftermarket and save a few dollars?...thanks.....Cliff
