    i'm impatient when I want a new toy. : )

the dealer where i bought had old stock that he was prepared to sell at the spring promo price- 339-about $50 cdn off compared to the fall (ie, current flyer) price. the kit (case, chain, etc) was included AND he threw in a 6 pack of oil.

and the no tax event was only going to be 5% off at the other retailer.

so, i figured i'd better grab the saw, just in case he decided to change the price on it to the fall price.

... haven't broken the news to my wife, yet...

Tried out my MS211 today- WOW!

This was my first experience with a chainsaw. In preparation, sat through the Stihl video with my 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son. "Are you going to cut down a LIVE tree, daddy?" she said excitedly. "Soon, dear" I replied.

And so I did. Cut down the cedar at my mom's place- easy, and actually a lot of fun. I'd used a reciprocating saw a couple times to trim branches, and it couldn't hold a candle to this!

So, now time to cut up firewood at the cottage!

carefull my friend, soon, verry soon you will be postin about wanting more power and needing a little bigger saw for the big stuff, you will be lead in the direction of a 361, and after a month you will need yet another fix for you acute CAD, but in time you will have 80-90 cc saws and needing duplicates just incase one of the fleet of 20 goes down for an air filter change.

Oh how true...Once you get involved in clearing multiple trees of bucking up downed trees, you quickly figure out that more is definitely better!

Friend of mine had a nice MAC w/16" for 10+ years, always wondered why I kept looking for more/bigger saws to add to the stash, then he bought a nice cabin retreat last fall and has quickly decided it's time for more & bigger saws!

Even if you don't pull the trigger on buying another one, you'll be researching and drooling over them every time you're near anywhere that sells them...
