    Carb Issue with my beaver..

So, being a small saw fan (they're nice for throwing in the luggage box), i gotta mini mac 110, and an eager beaver. The "Beav" being my latest saw i picked up very cheap.. Got beav tore apart, all cleand up and back together. Runs and seems to run strong..as long as its half choked.. If i turn choke whole way off..it dies... SO witth that in mind.. do yinz think its cuz 1. I aint got the air filter on causing to much air and not enough fuel to enter, or Do yinz suggest turning some screws? The beav is a 2.0 with electronic Ignition. Now my mini mac will run without the air filter so i kinda figured the beav would as well. Both got the same carbs and everything, other than the ignition system. thats the only difference. SO, any help would be appreciated! Thanks much folks!

Fuel starvation, gunk in the H circuit? Or an air leak somewhere?
