    Stupid Stihl ?

When did they saw change from made in West Germany to Germany. Was it related to this whole Berlin wall deal? Just trying to figure on how to date some saws.

(Just another birck in) The Wall

Here's just a bit of what happened back in 1989. For those who paid attention to such things, it was memorable. I was glued to the TV for several days as the wall came down.

Good Lord. Get a grip, Racerdude. World ain't full of Americans.

You know I'm just ribbin ya, Racer.

The East German government announced on November 9, 1989 that all East German citizens could visit West Germany and West Berlin. Crowds of East Germans crossed and climbed onto the wall, joined by West Germans on the other side in a celebratory atmosphere. Over the next few weeks, a euphoric public and souvenir hunters chipped away parts of the wall; the governments later used industrial equipment to remove most of the rest. The fall of the Berlin Wall paved the way for German reunification. It was formally concluded on October 3, 1990.

Say what you really think. Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind.
