026 or could it be an 024 ?

I have what I think is an 026, but it takes the same air filter as the 024.
Anybody out there that can confirm some 026's take that filter. 1 of the ebay sellers said the filter only fits 024's.
This saw has 2 bar studs, side adjuster, and a see through fuel tank, any body seen an 024 so equipped ?

I think you have a 026, another sign is the filter cover sets up higher on a 026 a 024 is flush with the cylinder shroud.

The top cover on the 024 starts a downward slope right behing the hold down screw to match the top of the air filter cover....

The 024 Air filter, will fit on an 026, but not the other way around because the air filter cover is too short on the 024....

I also THINK the 026 tank MIGHT fit on an 024...so thenyou COULD have a see thru tank on a 024....
I cut things up and split them down!

The 024 has been made lately in the form of the MS240, so I guess they may also have come with the see thru tank at some point?

I think the 240 is just in Europe, never seen one in the US, too bad it is a nice saw.

They were not sold in the US (or here), I don't remember about Canada.

Never saw a see thru tank on an 024. It is possible someone has made a swap though. The 024's I have seen have a front chain adjust.

I have an 026 filter cover but it doesn't fit, to wide, so that has me wondering. It fits the other older 026 I have, now I'm not sure what cover I need for this thing. Only other cover I have is for the 026 pro which I doubt is close. Maybe I need to look at the serial # and take it to the dealer.

Sure fire..... pop the top cover... if the jug has vertical fins on the top of it, it's an 026. If the jug is flat on the top, 024.

Near-term projects: Husqvarna 394, Stihl 066 red light, Stihl 044, 046, 038 mag II, HVA 359, Oh, a few 372s.... I LOVE those things! Just bought a 346xp wreck... gonna port the splat out of it... I'm excited!

How does the 024 Super fit in, regarding the top of the cylinder?
