    Stihl 034 aV

    Hi everyone,
I'm looking for muffler bolts. Does anyone know where I can find a couple? Also my carb is stamped US. The saw is marked Germany on the recoil rope side. Is this the original carb or aftermarket? Thank You

The carbs that are on stihls that are oem carbs those carbs are not aftermarket since that is one item that stihl did not allow aftermarket factorys make is the carbs for stihls they will also say stihl on the carb itself .

The muffler bolts that go into the cylinder are M5x20mm and the ones holding the muffler to the housing are M5x25mm. The ones holding the muffler itself together are M5x6mm These are all Torx or Spline headed screws. You can used any M5 bolts or screws of the correct length and tensile strength which is 10.9 but I suggest you try your local Stihl dealer.

Your saw must have a Tillotson carburetor. Not as common as the Zama versions. Stihl uses Tillotson, Walbro and Zama to manufacture the OEM carburetors (There may be others though).
Stihl recently bought out Zama so you will probably see more Zama's on the saws than other brands.

    Regards

go to a dealer that has service for used saws.
if he doesn`t have the piece you nee, he may be able to get it.

I love beavers; especially the shaved ones.

Most dealers have a box full of these screws.
Other than Stihl screws will work, but I would only use
the Stihl screws as they will stay tight.

If you are in good with dealer, I bet he will give you used screws.
Most dealers have a box or something full of used screws.
My dealer has given me enough screws to replace all
the screws in my 041 Super and 056 Super
