I do a bit of surfing around daily on Cl and ebay and as of lately it seems everyone has struck gold. Is it just me or is every piece of junk worth its weight in gold and anything that would be worth something priced like its made of platinum.

It's just that time of year. Seems like clock work, as soon as it starts to get cold, the prices of saws double.
not for hire......
Nuttin to see here....move along.....
market`s rules.
as long there is someone willing to pay....why lower the prices?
I love beavers; especially the shaved ones.
I've noticed that, too. Ebay is very cyclical. Dec. through May is the worst time to buy, great to sell. Mid summer is where the deals are, although some desirable Macs have been stolen off ebay the last couple of weeks.

I know that alot of people get "deals" on CL, but I have only bought 2 CL saws in my life. Last 100 or so times I've looked on CL, I didn't see any "deals".
I've seen four 024's in our local CL in the last two weeks. Strange! Prices of $40, $80, $140 and $120, I think. Sounds pretty cheap to me!
Tiz the season.
I buy um all summer and sell um in the fall. Pays for Christmas and usually a vacation.

I haven't seen a "deal" on ebay in a couple of years..when I spent 10 dollars for a XL903 parts saw that...was a runner after a carb kit and fuel lines..

I have never seen a deal in the local CL or on Ebay no matter what time of the year.
Husqvarna 390xp 32" bar
Stihl MS460 28" bar - milled and ported
Stihl 031AV 18' bar - stock
Craftsman 42cc 16" bar - loaner with muffler mod
Poulan Pro 330 20" bar - needs work
Poulan Pro 330 22" bar - has a few mods
My local CL is usually junk box store stuff that way overpriced. Every once in awhile something good comes along but it gets snagged quick.
I dont know if you can associate DEAL and ebay though anymore. Seems there are so many scavengers around that there arent many deals left to be had.
Right now people need money to buy stupid crap that they or the intended recipients dont need.

**you gotta see this**
There are alot of regular saw buyer/sellers on CL now, so if you don't jump on one as soon as it's listed, you'll miss it. I rarely ever look on CL, so I miss most of the "deals".
