Dumping inventory in anticipation of it's replacement likely.

Doing a model phase out can be as big of a PITA as a new model roll out when dealing with all the transition nonsense.

Especially with all the box stores to deal with.

Stay safe!

You might be on to something here. About a year ago is when a batch of 365 specials became available at a super price.

Well it is bizarre, as here in Canada we can still order 365sp and the regular ole 372xp...........normally we northerers are grouped automatically with the US as to models and changes.........but no 372xpxt here, 2011 365's on the shelf.........if we are a clearing house for old stock so be it!

As far as it looks to me, that isn't really the case - differences are common both with Husky and Stihl. I don't know regarding other brands.

New price list was posted effective today, and the 359 still has the same product code, so it's still the same saw. (went up $10). Just because it's not listed as an E-tech, doesn't mean anything.

365's are still on the list, but I can't order them. The 365XT is still supposed to be coming before long, so that may explain why that section is still there. (which means the Jonsered 2166 is coming also). Despite the upcoming 555/562, if the 365XT maintains it's $150-$200 price advantage over the 372 it will still sell pretty good.

Just got some long awaited 346's in this morning, built in week one of this year. And they are NOT E-tech's!!

For those (us) that don't live in the US, this issue is specific to the US as far as I know, because of the strict EPA rules. Elsewhere, there mostly are different order numbers for the E-tech ones (that only fools want) and the ordinary ones.
