Lots of people running the 84cc DolKitas. Compression on mine is disappointing, only 130 after setting the squish. Top of bore is suspect. If I had to do over, I'd go for the OEM 79cc top end.
My avatar is Wesley Everest, a famous PNW lumberjack.
Don't know yet on mine just put it together. The general consensus is use OEM 7900 P&C $200 instead of BBK $120. However, I got hooked up w/BBK for $80 no brainer for me. The one I used was Tiawan looks as good or better than the NWP kit I have from Baileys for $40 less. If you go with BBK get a set of Caber rings for it. Another member reports additional 15 psi comp. w/Cabers over rings that come w/kit.

Keep an eye out for a good used 6401 for around 250.. Shouldn't be too hard to find... The stock 6401 runs like a 365 husky. A 7900 runs a lil stronger than a 046 or 372. never ran one with a bb kit.

I agree with Mtngun, the 79cc Mahle fits better and has more compression.

150 is pretty good.
You are not going to improve on that with a Caber ring.

I agree with w8ye but if you just got to have the caber ring check with Gregg at Bailey's CRF 5412 should fit it. $14.99
The best thing you can do with the 84cc kit is to get rid of that thick base gasket. My saws was above .040 with it in place. No, it wasn't the gasket for the Solo! I think it is down to about .025 now.
It is still too thick for the amout of squish built into the BB kit.
Some just used Yamabond with no gasket

w8ye, just read that yamabond, hondabond and threebond are all the same made by 3M. It must be some pretty good stuff since it's made by 3M.
