    A little Dolmar gossip...

Went to my local dealer today and found out a few nuggets of info, some of which I've seen asked about here...but these are right from a Dolmar employee...

    1. 9010 bye bye.

    2. 7300 bye bye.

    3. Cat mufflers going bye bye. Scavenging loss reduction mufflers coming in. INTERESTING!

    4. 3410 TH bye bye. 32cc saw being fitted up for next top handle. Interestingly, NO top handle saw on the market meets clean air regs, Dolmar is trying to. Long, interesting industry story behind that...too lazy to type it.

    5. The 4 cycle chainsaw wasn't an abandoned project. It works, exists and is in the Dolmar factory. It just costs too much for production.

Maybe old news, but there you go. From what else I was told, Dolmar is doing some major re-engineering and changes to the line. Should be interesting to see what the next year or two bring.

The 9010/7300 info is not new here.

The rest sounds like interesting water cooler fodder.

Dolmar's four stroke concept still lingers in my mind from their prototype several years back. Not sold on the idea, but would love to see one on the market, just to satisfy my curiousity.

From what I've been told you're 100% correct. I also know about a few other saws in the pipeline, but for now I'll hold my tongue. The 4 stroke saw is out like you said.

It also was grossly overweight for the cc and power - let's hope that project stay off the market, and doesn't provide the EPA etc with ideas!

I didn't spill every been I was given too...

As for reliability of the info, it came direct from a Dolmar company rep. Not distro rep.
