Thread: Husky 3120 Coil

Hello to the group. Pleasure to be here, been looking to sign up for a while now but as most of you know, time is a precious commodity these days.

I have just done the coil in my 3120, its an older saw with the electronic box type coil. Ive spent way too much money on this saw but it does get a lot of work.

Was wondering if anyone had a coil for sale to suit - I've included some pics as I think there's 2 different models.

check out flebay both second hand and after market, at resonable money, Id'e imagine expensive from manufacturer
looks like its fitted to a number of models you might have to cross reference the ipl's to find its modern counterpart

Thanks for the advice, ran a Google search for Husqvarna IPL's and not getting much luck in cross referencing data. Any suggestions where I can get hold of info that matches the serial number to the year? thanks again, appreciated

Partstree.com is where I go for husky ipls usually. The parts are higher there but it gives you the part numbers.

"had a stock 3120 that had the rev limited 10.5k coil and after installing the 272 type coil she was a whole different animal in rip cuts with just a 32" buried for testing fun in very dry american elm. I had actually used a coil from a jonsered 630 625 (not real sure) or something that was just like the 272 coil just older coil."
