    Dolmar PS-7910 Coming Soon

    I just received some info from Dolmar USA in Alpharetta Georgia. The new Dolmar PS-7910 is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2012. I don't have the new specs. or changes yet but I am assuming it will be coming with the new lightweight piston and other changes for better engine performance and to meet EPA regulations.

    Why can't Dolmar take a page from Husqvarnas book and release some info about the saw a year in advance of actually releasing it. Kinda funny we complain that Husqvarna does this and I'm complaining that I wish Dolmar would do it.

    What, you don't actually expect Dolmar to do something smart to help market their chainsaws ? That certainly wouldn't fit their SOP to date (at least in the USA). Maybe an ASer in Europe can shed some light on the new PS-7910.
    Never underestimate the power of the written word. Spelling is important, but poor sentence structure and bad puncuation are what can really come back to bite you on the ass.

    I will take the "Pullon," "green brick," and "Crapsman" chainsaws that you don't want.

    seems like this can be a double edged sword. Opinions (on AS anyhow) are formed sometimes before anyone has had one in their hands or even set eyes on it. The company takes a gamble, either it will be loved on or hated on for a year....

    FG, that's very true, but I think the success of the Dolmar 5100, 6400, & 7900 was/is related more to word-of-mouth than any 'marketing' by Dolmar. That goes double for the Makita 6401 & 7901.

    Probably, and they are likely to be much more popular among saw forum members than in general.
    Firewood saws: Jonsereds Raket 621 (1970), Husky 353G (2003), Euro Stihl MS361W (2004), Husky 372xpg (nov 2006), Husky 339xp (may 2007), Husky 346xpg New Edition (sept 2007), Jonsered 2153WH (april 2010), Husky 560xpg (nov 2011).
