    Maybe i dont really know my family's history in Victoria, i have in NSW since i was about 4, or do you mean i'd better keep my head down, No Snapper is not related as far as i know.

    Been doing a bit of sticky beakin around through the different posts and maybe this might be of a little interest to some as to where all the old saws in Australia ended up.
    During the mid to late 80's McCulloch Australia ran a trade-in deal where they offered a $100-00 value to any old saw working or not but it had to be complete if the bar and chain was missing it didn't matter.
    Now i recall Bob Liston or Joe Smith telling me at the time these saws were stored awaiting destruction by the recyclers in Sydney at the time i worked for a firm called Allag Services at Maitland in the Hunter Valley where i ran and managed the Chainsaw section, we traded in 50-60 old saws maybe even more can't recall now how many.
    We keep a few to put on display i recall an old Dannam bloody monster of a thing and a very early Mac it to was a monster.
    I recall servicing a few old duckbilled carburettored Mac 10-10's, some other brands cannot remember all of them though, Pioneers, Canadians in red and yellow colouring, Solo Rex's, Homelites XL-12's, Poulan, Partners, Dolmar CT's Dolmar 119's and of cause many Stihls from the 07 to the mighty 090's.
    Spent a little time at McCulloch in Sydney learning the ropes in both servicing and sales so for that i was truely grateful it was to be a great help in the years to come.
    Now this is not bragging fellas but i managed on my return from the school (man was i black and gold to the bone) to become the best dealer of the year and that was selling mainly pro and farm saws not toys.

    Welcome to A site Bob.I saw some of your stuff,on the web before.Your,out numbered ,as there are only a few of us old diehard Mac fans left. But we take the good natured ribbing,and give it out,as well.I have a small collection of Macs,all stock[well,almost shh],that won't cut like yours,but well enough to keep the local orange and white crowd,scratching thier heads.
