What is entailed in removing the e-tech from a unsuspecting Husky 346 and returning it to 346 XP NE standards or is it even possible? Not really interested in porting. Thanks Guys.

The muffler is catalytic. Replace with standard muffler. Coil is rev limited but would not need to be replaced unless you did a muffler mod. I think the e-tech was set to the same top rpm,so replacing the muffler is the real issue.

From what I hear, the only thing you need to do is remove the Cat from the muffler. That may be a hassle, but you can buy a regular old muffler to replace the Cat muffler.

Just the Muffler

Just replace the muffler with a non cat muffler from a 346, 353, or 350 (there may be others). That's it; the only difference. Oh, and the non cat models have the gray gas cap. You HAVE to ditch the green one! :smile2:

Don't forget to richen it up a bit as well.

Don't forget the recoil sticker!
