I bought an old non AV 090 for pretty cheap off a local classifieds site and I want to convert it to a late model AV. The crankcase is gonna be the big ticket item seeing as all the internals-piston+cylinder, crankshaft, clutch, flywheel, ignition module, oiler, oiler cover, carb, etc... are all the same. And apart from the crankcase the only other things that need to be changed are the rear and front handlebar and the engine cover to I think. But it definately won't be seeing the same amount of use as the medium stihls as there just isn't enough big timber here for it.
I think you will find the AV parts to be very expensive also.
