I know a member here who may be putting his Husky 2100CD up for sale soon. I'll let him speak up if he decides to sell and place it in the classifieds. It's a nice, low hour saw that I'd buy from him in a heartbeat if I had the coin. I'll send him a link to this thread and see if he speaks up...

Don't tune old saws with a tach!
Tune the H side so that it burbles (four strokes) at WOT unloaded and just cleans up when under load. When you lift cutting pressure, the saw should revert to four stroking.

    It's here!

It's here! It's here! The chain brake handle was broken when it arrived but oldsawnut will take care of it.

I ordered this from Bailey's last night:
    • HVP 503 40 56 01 FIRESCREEN 288
    • PMC 28 HU50 OREGON 28" POWERMATCH COMBO
    • ORF 72LGX093G OREGON 28" CHAIN LOOP
    • HVP 503 07 83 01 DEFLECTOR

Does the stock carb get tuned with a regular flat blade screw driver? Seems the hole is a little wallered out. Also what are the settings for the limited carbs? Is all the way in at the limiter stop 1 turn out?

It looks great, and sounds like a serious saw!

    Congratulations.

    Nice looking saw. Good deal!
IMO It could be taken down with my favorite saw a MS361 and a 20" bar and full chisel. This is my favorite got to combo of weight to power and just goes forever on fuel. It will pull a 24" and has pulled a 28" to take out a 3ft x 4.5ft silver maple last year when the 660 was down that week. I only break out the modded 066 flat top for big black walnuts, locust and such. The thing is just a beast but provides a nice workout with a 28, 32 or 36 on it. Right now it's got the 3/8 0.050 18 on it just for quick bucking of hardwoods. Damn that thing is fun with and 18 on it!
too much to do, will I ever get it all done???
