    Dolmar PS-3410 Vs Stihl 201t

Is the Dolmar PS-3410 Top Handle Chainsaw any comparrison to the stihl 201t for limibing/climbing use? I realize the stihl is probably better but for nearly half the price is the dolmar worth looking at?

    or even redmax gz3500t?

Personally, I think it is worth looking at. The 201t is a nice saw but you do pay for it. If it was me, I would check them both out and get the one that feels better to me.

Yep. I have the 3410th. It is a nice saw. Out of the box it is a bit mild but there are a few easy tricks to make it snarl. It is lighter than the stihl and doesent have the nuances of the stihl. If you are pruning in my opinion it is a better saw. If you are doing massive hard wood take outs the stihl has more power.

I ran my buddies 3410T and I thought it sucked and that was complared to my 019T.

I don't even see it in the same ballpark with the 200T but his had not had anything done to it for mods.

Something wrong with your buddy's 3410TH then as no way is it lesser to an 019T. Not a chance.

Of course its not in the same ballpark with the 200T... heck, many here will tell you that not even the 201T is there, at least not without some mods.

I would agree something was a-miss with it. It is the only one I have run and I wasn't impressed for sure.

I now know why I have a new 200T hidden away though everytime I read threads about the new top handle offerings
