Husqvarna 357XP Pop up piston Cylinder air leak

Done a pop up piston on my 357XP but the turned down cylinder has meant the bottom of the inlet connection on the cylinder has had half the lower part machined off and this is causing an air leak despite using sealent.

I am overcoming the issue by machining down the alloy wall the rubber boot plastic retaining wall sits on and have also put a spacer between it and the alloy wall to force it against the cylinder and all should be good.

Has anybody else had this issue with machining down their 346/357s cylinders?

How much did you take off the base?

Have a 201T that doesn't run like you expected? Need a new one that's already modded and ready to go? PM me for details.

That was 0.7mm Brad, same off the Piston and the base gasket has been dropped - squish is 0.52 - 0.55mm!

And one of the benefits of machining the base, is you get to use the base gasket.
