    Spark checking....

    Hey,

I know under perfect conditions, laying the plug aginst the jug will work just fine.

What do you guys do when your plug wire isn't co-operating, and you don't have three arms. Is there a gozmo? Use an old sweep meter? Aligator clips?

There has just gotta be a easier way!

    Thanks in advance.

Wrap striped wire tightly several times around the thread and put a clip on the other end. Clip it to the cylinder.

Bend the ground electrode vertical - you need to create the voltage required to fire under pressure.

    shove pinky finger deep

Into the sparkplug boot.. Grasping the saw tightly. Then pull that puppy over . Depending on how fast you remove said finger will tell you if it has enough stuff to fire under compression. after two or three different test on various saws you will soon learn whether it is hot enough or not..

Just kidding. like stated above. You can get a clip on spark tester., You can vary the gap and clip it onto a metal part of the saw.
