Thread: New In Box Macs

    New In Box Macs

    A friend of mine has two Macs, still in the box. He paid 75.00 for the 2.0 ci Mac 110 w/ 10" bar in 83 and wants 75.00 for it now. He also has a 140 with a 14" bar, that he paid 170.00 the same year. Are these saws worth 75.00 and 170.00? I've searched many threads here and have gotten very mixed reviews. The 110 has not been assembled yet and the 140 is in a plastic case packed in the box. Niether, never fired.

    They could be for a real die hard collector,not to me.The 110 sold for about a hundred or less brand new,the 140, around 130 or so if I recall correctly.

    I sold my Mac 10-10 NOS for $200, shipping on top of that. It had sat on my coffee table for years. The new girlie grew very tired of it in a short anount of time.

    Way back when the tree trimmers would buy the little rascals and use them until they quit then buy another one.Throw aways,sort of.

    I have parts and pieces of three 120's that I made into one,all freebies.As said before though the price is just what somebody thinks they are worth.

    Well, I'm gonna go ahead and bite the bullet on the 110. I think I could get 75.oo bucks worth of use out of it. I'll leave the 140 alone.
