Arrow MS 440 - You All Said It Couldn't Be Found

Second new saw in a week. Lately, I've started to realize that I wish I had an MS 440. So I went down to buy one...fat chance...they're sold-out! That was the general word on AS as well. I figured there had to be atleast one somewhere? I started to look, I was prepared to travel the PNW in order to find one...I expected the endeavor to be time consuming...

Yeah right...my first phone call to a little small STIHL shop and Bang...there it was...brand new MS 440 (R)! Did I buy it...you betcha! Now I have two saws to break-in, MS 460 and a MS 440. This is a terrible burden that life is forcing me to bear...I'll try and grind my way through it!

I picked the saw up with 25" bar, but I think I may throw a 20" on it just for fun and drop the 361 down to 18". For now, 25" & up will probably go the 460. The camera that I'm using is somewhat sub par, but it works.

    Best Regards,
    OLY-JIM

I assume that you're preparing to launch an offensive in order to recover it?

Nah, I have enough saws at the moment. But for the right person wanting it I will help them out, for a small fee of course. Mow told me who has it but I don't need it.

i never said it couldn't be found.

i believe anything can be found if you look hard enough.my buddy found a brand new 056 super the year before last.never had fuel in it.there is a new 090 here but i haven't had time to go there yet.

if i had time i'd look for an 38mag.

The new 440s are stihl out there. You just have to know where to look, I can think of 3 now. However, the prices will not be dropping much if any at all.

    Nice aquisition, Jim!!!!!!

It looks to me like you're getting too many saws for one man to break in by himself!!!
