    Chainsaw sharpeners

Is there anything special that is needed to sharpen the stihl chisel chain(33RSC). Ive been told that the sharpener needs to be able to move in a certain direction. If anybody knows of a sharpener that will sharpen the chisel chain that would be cool.

Welcome: if you use the search function, you'll find more than enough info to confuse you. Then reread and have at it - its not hard. There is enough info here to sharpen a rock.

With the full chisel you want your angle to be 25 degrees to the grinding wheel, at the shop that I work at I get stuck with all the sharpening. I do between 50-75 chains a week. Mainly make sure you're taking back the teeth equally on each sides and you take down the rakers 25-30 thousandths to get good chips.

    best way

The best way that I have found to sharpen a chain is with a dremel. Be sure and grind each tooth until it turns bright red. That hardens the steel and it will last a long time. Trust me!

Any standard wheel or file sharpens rsc chisel... If you're taking SQUARE GROUND chisel, that's an entirely different issue...
