Who here has the most chainsaws

About 2 months ago I had above 30 + running saws. I have sold some since. I have a total of about 90 running, non-running and parts saws. some of the non-running I plan to get running 031, 028 and 050 Stihl, C- 5 Homelite, Homelite Super wiz 66 and possibly a 056 Stihl that has not been picked up. Yes yes, your CD is in a rather advanced stage indeed. 90 saws!

I got about 30 in top running condition. 26 Sitlhs, 2 Dolmars and 1 Husky and one more Husky on the way. Had many more but gave them away.

The biggest collection of saw belongs to a old retired Stihl dealer out in Washington state. He has over 1400 chainsaws!! He collects all saws, not just Stihls. He's been collecting for years and years. He once had ole Stihl himself come visit to see his collection. Stihl asked him if he was looking for any certain saw he didn't have. He said yes and gave Stihl the model. Stihl told him when he got back to Germany if he came across that model he would send it to him. A year past and one day UPS showed up at the shop with a package. He opened and there was the saw he told Sitlh about a year earlier. In the package was a note, compliments of Sitlh.

I think the man's name is Wayne Sutton. They had a piece on the history channel about his collection of saws....

    As Thall noted,

I believe Wayne Sutton has the largest collection that I know of. Larry at the House of Saws also has a huge collection.

    My collection is several hundred.

On a side note it is 12:20AM and as I was typing this message Robert was on Country Fried Home videos with the Predator.

Not me for sure. However, considering I didn't have any a little over a year ago, I think I'm doing OK. Perhaps the duration in which I've gathered them would qualify me for a 12 step program. First it was new saws, then it was Dave Neiger, then my own muffler mods. Next, it was the Maxx Grinder and sharpening my own chains, more tools, tachometer and more of my own work. Now it's vintage oldies, hunting down obsolete parts, further learning, more time in the shop, more, more, more..........! In case you wondered, this all started the moment I found this site! (As if you didn't know!)
Looking For: Suitcase weights and bracket for Case/Ingersoll 444.
