Yes, noticed that but the #'s fit according to Ray and the basic unit looks the same, an older version?

I'm not sure that any of the 360's had that color scheme. Every one I've ever seen has been solid red. Of course, we've only owned half a dozen or so 360's and never messed much with their little brother.

I believe that is the standard paint scheme on the 350's.

As far as late model vs. early, my vote goes to earlier. On the late model 360's they added a hand guard and they redesigned the clutch cover. I suspect they did the same with the 350.

My vote would be an early Homelite 350. Pull her apart and check the P&C as I think that is the only difference between the two saws mechanically.

More I think about it the more your right about early/late. But I'm pretty sure I have been a few black/red 360's go across ebay, etc. Your right about that being stardard colors for 350's, so it could very well be a 350, but I'm still going with early360.

My understanding is that the 350/360 shared the same carriage.

Other than decals and a little paint their exterior should be close to identical. Many of the saws crossing ebay may have pieces and parts from a conglomeration of saws as their parts should be interchangeable.

Minus the decals, It's anyones guess.

According to acresinternet.com both the 350 and the 360 had the same displacement?

    What does differentiate the two?
