    OK guys, legit question {Ignore the bogus krap}

I puchased a TS350/08 crankshaft off of e-bay, and all was fine, until I got
to the Piston/pin/bearing, the size was different.
I had bought some parts saws for the project, so I made do, and used the
new bearings, so I want no beef with the seller. Most of you that know
me, know that I am fairly meek and non-confrontational.....................

But I will list all of the odd TS350/08 parts I have this weekend, and wish to
throw in this odd crankshaft, but I wish to be accurate as to what it fits.

The crank seems identical to what I am working on, except for the piston
pin area. Any thought. My latest pirated version of media cat does not
explore any variations, so I am thinking that it is real old. Thanks for any help

That is a big differance. Is the bore the same dia? If it is then I would say the connecting rod would center itself on the piston pin but could slide lateraly and wear the pin out but that would take a long time. you could make two spacers to go between the pin bosses and that would solve your problem or find another piston that is correct for that crank.

Is the small end of the rod for a different diameter of wrist pin or is it just a narrower profile?

Well my question really is, what does this crank fit?

I made do with other parts. The parts lists I have access too do not show any other part numbers, but thanks though.

I could have requested "experts" by name in my title, but their ego is

Piston bearing would not fit in the rod, so one can assume the pin is smaller as well. Maybe

NO Stihlhead, but I thought there was an TS350/08 and a TS360/08S. The 08S had the bigger piston pin...I think it used a 49mm bore and a 12mm wristpin.

Don't take this as gospel...just a vague memory really.

I'll need to crank up the microfiche.. but I'm sure that is a very old version of the crank. The piston had spacers.

Thanks, I made do with a good used one, yes there is a lot of usefull
info that did not make the transition to computer. Like the old style starter
    on it as well.

This is on a 2 man auger, with a governor vane attached to the choke,
I cannot find anything on that either. How is that to work properly?
Or is it hooked up wrong? The auger seems to run OK, but I want it to be right. Thanks for any help, guys. I will put up a pic here in a bit.

The vane gets air from the flywheel and is supposed to close off the choke as rpm increases to govern the saw... PITA to get right... (you need a very old service manual) and right usually sucks.

That is an old saw - 60's?

Not sure, I think it has been rebuilt a few times before, as it is on a
two man auger bt series, supposed to be an 08 saw engine, but has
I assume a newer TS350 engine, as it is a 49 mm piston, electronic
    ignition, newer style starter.
I called the customer with the estimate, a greenhouse/nursery, and said. "I'm sorry to tell you, someone ran your auger without oil mix
in the fuel", to which he replied, "we never used oil in the gas, the cap only
says gas", so I am guessing that he didn't have it too long, but it is a
formidable beast, it looks like one digging machine. The gov setup looks
goofy, like a carbon builder, so the carb adjust will be tricky, hate to set it lean to compensate.

Fish- I think what you have there is an S-10 crank. I believe it used a 47mm piston. We have two at the shop, and they're both in those "old-style" boxes like the Contra pistons came in.

Thanks, everything else was the same, except the top side of the rod. I
used the bearings off of it, so I didn't do too bad with it
