Thread: Question For Husky 346xp Owners

Finally decided to buy a new saw to replace my toy Poulan WildThing. Had narrowed it down to a 55 Rancher or a 351. The store had no Ranchers in stock so that left my choice to the Husky 351 until I questioned them about a 346XP. I ended up getting a new 346XP for $339 with an 18" bar and H30 chain. Anyways, any 346XP owners had any recommendation for a stock saw in regards to performance, replacement chain when stock H30 needs replacing, etc.

Basic maintenance comes first. All the mods in the world won't help a dull saw with clogged filters. A sharp chain is the single most important item on any saw.

Welcome to the Site!!! i have a stock 346xp and love it!!! i run a 16'' bar with semi chisel chain. when i use up the chains that i have now then i'll switch to full chisel i have felled 30'' pine with no problems (although i prefer my 066G in that size tree ) usually when the wood gets over 14-15'' i switch over to my 046
