    Old Homelite XL

Hi folks. I was wondering if anyone could tell me fom the picture which XL this might be. The owner doesn't have any history on it and I can pick it up pretty cheap but it's a 30 mile drive justr to see it. Any help would be appreciated.

+1 You can't go wrong with an XL12, I've got six of them. Parts are cheap and easy to find, they're good performers for their age and reliable as a hammer!

Thanks Metalspec. For the welcome and the advice. I have an XL12 that I love. Is this saw in the same class both in terms of dependability and power?

The saw in the picture is an XL-12, or Super XL-12, it may just have a different paint scheme

I've never had the chance to run an XL 12. I believe they are similar in power and reliability. Looking better at your picture, it looks like it is an XL-12. Sorry, didin't look close enough first time I looked.

    $25 Xl12

We'll I got the saw a month ago and I haven't had time to try to crank it until yesterday. The fuel line was rotted so I replaced that, put fresh fuel in and it cranked on the third pull! Runs great. This is my second xl12 and I'm really beginning to like these saws.
