    372xp Came In Today

My 372XP came in today. Yip, yip, yahoo!!! My Black Lab isn't quite so excited. For some reason he doesn't like chainsaws, weedeaters or motorcycles. He likes to get close and bark at them. This one was no exception. As soon as I took it out of the box he started barking at it.

For some reason I thought it would be coming with an .050", 20" bar and chain but it came with an .058", 20" bar and chain. I used my search and came to the conclusion that .050" vs ,.058" was six of one and a half a dozen of the other. I'm going to buy a 24" bar and chain for this saw.

QUESTION: If I find a deal on a 24" bar and can only get it in .050" will I be able to use both of them with the same sprocket? Will switching back and forth from an .050" to an .058" mess the chains and sprocket up?

BTW, the color thing does work with women. I opened it up and she said it looks just like your other saw which is a 359. That means that I can buy more as long as I stick with an orange saw. Nah, this is my last one.

Now to find a tree worthy enough to be cut down with this saw.

    Danny

Congrats! Get some pics of her in action!

Running different gauges isnt going to mess with your rim/sprocket.

Thanks for all of the compliments guys.

I fired her up awhile ago. I pulled three times and it I didn't hear it pop. I remembered the hard time that I getting my 359 to run when it was new so I pushed the choke in, pulled again and it came to life. It bogged a little and then took off. Awesome!!!

It might be awhile before I get to cut a big tree with it. I might be able to get about a 16" black locust but that won't be a test for it. It'll be a good tree to start breaking it in with though.

Here's pictures of the 372XP and the antique Fisher stove that it'll be feeding.

    Danny
