Thread: What are the Jonsered equivalents to the Husky XP's?

    What are the Jonsered equivalents to the Husky XP's?

    Of the 3 series XP husky's what are the Jonsered models with the same motors? (including all versions of the 346) Was gonna get an XP but don't like the space age angled handle bar. (Plus red and black looks tough)

    It was between the J-Red 2171 and the Husky372XP. I figured I'd let my son pick it out-he likes orange. Solved that choice easy enough .

    Jeez - not only is the new Husky 346XP not available in Canada, I can't see the 2153 on Jonsered's Canadian web site either. It's a conspiracy!

    The timeline indicates that the the first 670s were based on the 266se, and the 630 was based on the 162se.

    However, I use the term "based on" regarding that generation of saws, as there were a lot more differenses than it is today.
    Husky built those Jonsered saws though, as they do with most Jonsereds today.
    Firewood saws: Jonsereds Raket 621 (1970), Husky 353G (2003), Euro Stihl MS361W (2004), Husky 372xpg (nov 2006), Husky 339xp (may 2007), Husky 346xpg New Edition (sept 2007), Jonsered 2153WH (april 2010), Husky 560xpg (nov 2011).

    I also believe the late model se and the xp is the same, but most likely at some point (before that) something happened that changed the power rating and rpms slightly.
