    3120 bigger jet question

Since the thread I started about a year ago when I ended up with an 880 and a 3120 with a non EPA coil, FW and jet instead of the stock ones, I get asked every now and then about swapping in the larger non EPA jet on a 3120 without changing out the green coil and FW.

So the question is going from 1.12mm jet to 1.16 mm jet on the EPA model. 1.12 is what husky currently ships in their EPA model while 1.16 mm is the non EPA model's jet.

I hardly qualify as a saw tech, so I am putting the question out there for STKW or someone more qualified to offer an opinion. Any harm in richening up the EPA model a bit to 1.16 mm?

I don't see the harm, but ......One person reports that it woke up his EPA 3120 a bit...And actually Husky has increased the stock jet size considerably over the life of the saw in several increments.

    Re: 3120

I instantly ream the main jet (to .044 I think) -- before the saw is ever started (in my hands). I think you're right that the main jet is a little larger now than in earlier EPA versions. It was harder to ream the jet out of a 2001 than it was my 2005 and 2007 models.
