Husky 345 - sudden noise and debris coming out of muffler

I've posted previously about Husky 345 - sudden mechanical 'knocking' noise.

Finally had time to take a closer look at it - spark plug heavily fouled with black debris and muffler port has 'stringy' black debris melted on it - kind of looks like short strands of black poly rope.

What are the seals on the crankshaft bearings made of - could they be source of this stuff?

With plug out the engine feels smooth when turned by hand, no clicking or catching.

Dat not good Buttwheat. Sure you didn't mix the wrong stuff with the fuel? No plastic pieces missing from intake? Not your seals, if that were the case, don't think it would run.

Sure it's not Carbon buildup? How does the p/c look? Pull the muff off and look at p/c.
