The duckbill valve turns to mush. I put a new one in a micro 25 that I had.

Thats quite possible, but I wouldn't really call that thing a pump, theres no mechanical pumps or diaphrams in it. It uses crankcase pressure to push the oil through the so called pump and filter.

Those saws oil well as long as only clean oil is used, and a lighter oil used in very cold weather.

They do seem to leak when shut off and sitting if the oil cap is not removed to release the pressure in the tank when your done with it.

Refresh my memory, where is the duckbill valve in a Micro? I don't remember them but there were lots of variations and model numbers of that series of saws.

That gasket is good and the screws are tight. You can actually watch the oil ooze out the bar oil hole. I've tried taking the cap off to relieve any pressure, but it doesn't work. Sit the saw on the table overnight and the next day there is a puddle of bar oil under it. Good little limb saw, but dang it will give you a bath in oil.

That hose maybe broken from the oiler pump. That would actually leave a open hole from the tank out the oiler hole.

The duckbill is in the hollow "banjo bolt" behind the clutch. The duckbill valve is inside the bolt with a screen protecting it.

Ok, were on the same page, thats the check valve I was talking about. I know there are several differnt designs on them also, but they interchange, and its still available from Poulan.
