    Compression Testing

I hit the search department here, google and youtube and I didn't find alot about doing your own compression testing on saws. I mean more than holding the saw up by it starter rope.

I occasionally sell one and having the compression numbers would be nice.

Also, is taking the muffler off adequate for inspecting the piston and cylinder walls?

local auto parts store will have one on the shelf..
As long as it has a schrader valve up by the gauge in it.. It does not matter how long the hose is.. It can be twelve feet long.. You just keep stroking the motor til it quits climbing on the scale.

I take it a schrader valve is a check valve of sorts to keep the pressure from bleeding back from the gauge? I will pick one up tomorrow.

I have all Husky's right now, I assume a typical tester has appropriate threads for this application?

    Thanx folks.
