    Thanks Russ,
I don't know what is taking Dan so long. He's had my money since Friday afternoon, for Pete's sake!

I haven't seen Dan online much this week. He must be sweatin' over my saw as I sit here twiddling my thumbs. Hopefully he will be sending it out by the weekend so I can put it to work next week.

Still no sign of the lil Solo 633 from Dennis, either. He supposedly shipped it out last week. My new Echo isn't as perfect as my old one, threw it out of a tree from about 30' yesterday. I guess it learned it's lesson, it ran perfectly today. Good thing those Echos bounce well.

Speaking of Dennis, anyone seen him lately?

    Talking Got my Solo today!

Got the Solo 633 from Dennis today. Bad news is that someone helped themself to my saw for some cutting, covered the saw with crud and broke the handle. I'm going to try to see if it runs OK, even though I cannot throttle it very well with the handle flopping around. Hopefully there isn't any hidden damage.

I just went out and cut a piece of 3/8" automotive fuel line to shove into each end of the broken handle to act as a splint. The saw fires up OK and sounds like a badd MoFo!

Hi Brian, I`m not surprised that it took as long as it did to get your saw from Dennis, US customs are not known for breaking any speed records. Happy to hear that you did finally get it but are you saying that someone actually used it enroute to you???? I`m sorry to say that after you get to run your modified Solo a bit, your new Echo will probably spend most of it`s time in your truck. Russ

    Brian,
A well modified 3 cube saw like the 346 will certainly blow away an 026. I ran my Greffardized 2149 against my buddy's friend's stock (and about 20 hours old) 026 and it walked all over it. Dennis did Zyp's 346 and my 2149 at the same time and they were evaluated side by side as dead even. The 2149 has open transfers versus the 346's closed, but it has a few more cc's that seem to compensate. Too close to call on those two, but based on what I've heard as well, you should be real happy with one of Dan's little demons.
    Regards,
    Doug
