    Just rambling

    Just rambling on:

Wife had a bad fall and went critical bac in Dec, in rehab now but I got way behind on the winter work. Finally got to the normal (for me) saw clean up yesterday. Drain fuel, run dry, give thorough cleanign, sharp chains as needed (didn't have to do any this time).

Started with the MS361. Discovered that it has a decomp valve. Don't think it needs one but I tried it out and forgot to reset the "I'm too dumb to reset a choke" lever until I had pulled two more times past the "Pop" - cost me another 5 or 6 pulls to clear it. I only ran it once to fall a big willow last Nov. Wow! I had forgotten how it sounds. My 310 when fired up says "Let's go play" That 361 says "Let's get to work!".

Did the 310 and Husky 51 before I froze out. Still need to pull the 28" bar off Mr. 361 and put on the 24" bar. Later in the year I will buy another 20" bar for it.

Still need to get out and burn my brush piles from last year.

Looking forward to the cutting season which should start along early March. Got quite a few small/medium Locust lined up, several big Willows, and am sending out 3 more letters in the morning requesting cutting rights to Locusts taht are dying from the Locust Borer.

    Harry,
Just forget you found that decomp. My 361 was ALWAYS harder starting when I used it. Not sure why. And you used a >20" bar on your 361? Impossible...it won't pull it!

    Well, nuts. I guess I will put a 14" on it then . I really thought that a 361 didn't even need a bar.

Hello Mr. harry hope all goes as well as it can for your wife. now it looks like your out there in big wood country. I don,t think that 14 inch bar on your 361 will do much on on your tree,s but for you limbing it might go quick but I think you have much more experience than me I just buy and sell chainsaw has a hobbies now I had a little tick bite me and it gave me Lyme disease and it was left on treated for several years. got so bad I was driving my truck through town one day and I forgot where i was and I have lived in that town over twenty years. it got so bad they had to run a I-v line right to my heart but they still could not kill that dam thing . long story cut short I lost my business and now i,m on full blown disability but at-least I can drive again and I got my speech back . I have 5 kids and that put my family in a bad spot but I,m through the worst of it now so I truly understand how your family health can really put allot of stress on you . I will keep you in my prayers . best of luck god bless Bill some of my spelling is so bad spell check won,t work sorry for that. anyway hope you have a great day!!

There is something besides people killing locusts? I thought that was impossible. I was raised on the Eastside. That'll make the weed people happy. Good luck to you.
Able to operate and heat my home with a WEPA and EPA certified woodstove and probably could do so with one hand tied behind my back.

I got cad withdrawal symptoms bad. After visiting wife (she's doing ok but not cooperating well witht he therapist) I cruised the county looking for locusts that are dying. Kinda hard to tell if they are in the middle of the winter but spotted several that I will follow up on next summer.

then on the way home I debated loading up in the morning and head for one of my reserved sites to kill a tree. Still may but I can't get the PU into the pasture to unload - snow drift right in the gate and snow too deep on other side of it. Even debated dumping the load on the driveway.

    Cad withdrawal is baaaaddd!
