I got it from Bailey's about 4 months ago. I swear, I must be one of their best customers.

    cs56

I got to try mine out today while I was out. It'll do for what I use it for. And for the price I just don't think I could beat it. It does have some quirks and I hope the more it breaks in the better it will get, I'm still on tank #1. Thinking about changing it over to 3/8 chain.

You're right, the price was awesome. I paid more than double for the MS361 and more than 1.5X for the NE346XP. I was impressed by the build quality, and a very good owner's manual. Just couldn't help but thinking that the CS56 is a downsized CS62 rather than the CS62 being an upgraded CS56, if that makes any sense. The owner's manual states that the break-in period is 30 tanks of gas!!! So maybe if I have the patience to let it loosen up, it will start to impress.

There are a few things I'm not excited about with the CS56 but for under $300 I aint gonna complain!! It does sound rather tinny on the exhaust note.

With the .325 NK bar and chain it whizzes right thru dead elm like a champ.
I think once it gets broke in and I get the carb adjusted it will do better, but at 30 tanks of gas I'll have next years wood cut, split and stacked!!

The manual is actually very good and I've located replacement parts already incase I break off the choke....which I know I'm gonna do at some point. Nelson's Speed Shop has the parts to convert over to 3/8 or anything else you might need.

I would have like the CS62 but the 5cc difference wasn't worth the extra $115 bucks plus shipping. Maybe after I wear it out I'll try to put the 62's jug and piston on the 56???

    CS56 Update

The CS56 is now on its second tank and running much better. Less vibration and revs faster/smoother. The motor must be very tight out of the box. The way that it runs and cuts is very similar to a Husky 353 now.

Amick's has or had smokin' deals on relabeled GB Ti bars in 20", 24", and 28", but only for Husqvarna. 28" was $39.95.

It is a Husky 372XPW that has been modified (ported, etc) by the Unifire corp here in the good ol' U.S.of A. Check out the FAQs --
