Yep should fit if it is listed. Worse case scenario is filing out the bar slot a bit.

So will I regret not getting the 20incher? If so maybe I should just go that route... I have an 18" on my 362XP...

It's really only 2 inches, and if you don't have a need for it the 18" will be fine.

Most of the time the 18" on my Husky does fine but every once and awhile the big old oak gets in my sights and I have to cut from both sides.

In general would a 20 be better on the 70 or the 362? They say I can go up to 24 on the 362 but it sounds like 20 is as high as I should go on the 70...

Hope this is helpful. Good luck with that 70E!!!!

P.S. The handle mount for the 70 only fits the 70-70E nothing else.
However that is not to say that you might be able to find something else that could be made over to get you by. I don't know.

It fits several even older models as well, like the 60, 601, 62, 75, and probably more (even older) - btw, there never was a Jreds 77......

I would bet that if a person was a good fabricator, an adapter plate could be made to work with a 621 or smaller bracket like the 52. Attach a plate to the bracket and then the bracket to the rubber mount. The handle tube is the same size on the 621. I know this because my 621 is sporting a 70E top handle. Kind of funky.

I,m pretty sure large mount husky and newer jonsered bars will work, may have to widen the slot a hair for the larger studs on the 70E

I was also thinking that you could try a 621 or 49/52 top handle mount and see if the av mount are the same distance apart as the 70 mount. I have no idea if it would mount up or not. The appearance is altoghther different but mounting position may be the same. After working on these older Jreds I find that a lot of the same parts are used on completely different series saws. Probably won't work but worth a shot if you can get the measurement between centers on your 70 I could easily measure either 49/52 or 621 and compare. Just a thought
