I'm wanting to verify the PNs for the Husky deflectors. I placed an order and got something other than what I was expecting. I think they actually sent me the wrong part.

503 07 83-01. I think this is the 288 deflector. What they shipped is a heat shield that goes behind a muffler.

I also searched and came up with 503 58 99-01. What is this PN?

According to Jack's Small Engine, That part number comes to:
Exhaust outlet for the following saws......

· 266 (1989-02)-->Muffler
· 266 (1990-01)-->Muffler
· 281 (2001-10)-->Mufflers (Part 1)
· 288 (2001-10)-->Mufflers (Part 1)
· 288 EPA (2001-10)-->Mufflers (Part 1)
· 61 (1989-02)-->Muffler
· 61 (1993-09)-->Muffler (S/N 1070001 And Below)
· 61 (1997-01)-->Muffler (S/N 1070001 And Below)
· 66 (1989-02)-->Muffler
· 66 (1991-03)-->Muffler

Here is a link to the page......

In the center of the page is a box for "parts Look Up"
In the next page click the "parts" tab, right under that, set the "OEM" to the manufarurer you want, and under that, enter your part number.....

I ordered one of each deflector just to see what the difference was for myself. The width and opening area is smaller on the left one. The larger one on the right is for a 288. I'm not sure what model the other is for.

A number of years ago you told me the deflector part number Brad and it was the one on the left that I received. The one on the right looks betterer though :)

Not on this phone any more. When I get home I'll be making one for a 372 and maybe 385. I'll take pictures then if you remind me this weekend.
