    Reoccuring Tree Dreams

    Do you guys ever have dreams about trees?
    Quite often I dream about being in a primogenial forest where no one has ever set foot and the timber makes me feel awestruck. I also have this reoccuring dream where I am on a huge unnamed continent, larger than Siberia,that is carpeted with timber and lakes. Along with the dreams accompanies a feeling of serenity.
    In these dreams I am only an observer and not an active participant.
    Does this mean I am John Lennon or did I just leave Master Blasters house or am I really dead and I am going around for the 2nd time?
    All kidding aside, does anyone have similar dreams and if so, what do they mean?

    I have very similiar dreams. Walking through endless tracts of big timber, through a layer of mist, with streams and wildlife all around. I also have dreams of being in the woods working, felling trees, skidding, rafting logs in some unnamed river. It's great stuff to dream about and waking up is always a letdown!

    Hello Bob, after hitting my library up, I found this one that sums it all up.
    John

    The Land of Beyond

    Have ever you heard of the Land of Beyond,
    That dreams at the gates of the day?
    Alluring it lies at the skirts of the skies,
    And ever so far away;
    Alluring it calls: O ye the yoke galls,
    And ye of the trail overfond,
    With saddle and pack, by paddle and track,
    Let's go to the Land of Beyond!

    Have ever you stood where the silences brood,
    And vast the horizons begin,
    At the dawn of the day to behold far away
    The goal you would strive for and win?
    Yet ah! in the night when you gain to the height,
    With the vast pool of heaven star-spawned,
    Afar and agleam, like a valley of dream,
    Still mocks you a Land of Beyond.

    Thank God! there is always a Land of Beyond
    For us who are true to the trail;
    A vision to seek, a beckoning peak,
    A farness that never will fail;
    A pride in our soul that mocks at a goal,
    A manhood that irks at a bond,
    And try how we will, unattainable still,
    Behold it, our Land of Beyond!

    Used to have a lot of dreams about doing tree work... Most were actually preminitions... I'd be on the job a few weeks after the dreams and realize i had seen it all before. Ususally that "meant" I was doing a good thing, unless I had a bad feeling from the dream in which case I went on high alert and was extra careful not to take any chances or make a mistake... It's been a lot of years since those days..

    Also remember a dream real early in my career... I was walking around a property looking at all this jagged cuts on white pine tipping back pruning jobs and thought how bad that looked... When I woke and thought back on the dream, I resolved to make cleaner cuts, on target!

    It's your dream Gypo, so only you can say for sure what it means, but I'd venture to guess that it's a dream from a past life, where you lived in such an amazing place... You are just remebering the beauty of it all.
    God Bless All,
    Daniel

    Only tree dreams I ever have are about being in a bucket, a really tall bucket, and the pto's reved up too much and I'm almost slinging myself out.

    Hey John, you would ride this, eh?

    Yeah.  Go with that one John.  Next time it happens, look down at your feet.  Are you wearing shoes/footwear or are they all hairy-like?
