    Anyone remember this ...?

I've seen the making of a 'saddle' using rope, bowline and the blake hitch. I can't remember how it was done. And I need to do it for a demonstration. Anyone remember or can direct me to a site that shows it?

It might be nice while on the subject to look at other useful compositions using rope alone to do much of the stuff we do now with devices.

its painful on the back there is one called bowline on a bight with the yosemite tieoff, its out of my league but i just pulled on rope out and looks like the double bowline on a bight will give you the extra loop

Makes sense, and then to have enough line to do the waist and a blake. Will have to play with the waist unless someone has a great solution?
