    Ctsp

Woo-Hoo, just found out today I passed the TCIA Certified Tree Safety Professional exam I took in Hartford.

(sorry for the self promotion, but what the hell, I'm happy)

My boss sent two of us to the CTSP in Hartford, both of us passed! Still not sure what I think of the program though.

I really thought the program would focus more on safety, but after speaking with Peter the next day, TCIA assumes we're already very knowledgeable in safety and it's more a certification to instruct safety to others.

As a business owner the extra certification can only help me (and my insurance rates). It also makes you more marketable.

With injuries on a rapid climb it seems soon a safety officer will be mandatory on all crews.

If I ever get the time I may also try for a CTE (it's not mandatory in NJ . . . yet).
