Them be beautiful machines!
She's purty! Way to go.
Dig it. Pretty cool.
Yes is was! I have more to mill when I get the time! Need to get it done!
Thanks Bud, the Modded 066 and a 56" MKIII. The grain is insane, yes has a tendency to split and crack. With a little love and woodworking skill Wellll worth the efforts. Dried and pressed for two years.
MotW's is correct! I am constantly pulling saplings out under any tree not mowed around, flowerbeds and especially piles of soil. The deer, wild turkeys and songbirds love them and if you have berry bushes the robins usually prefer the mulberries. Makes good jam and wine though. The color of the wood is a beautiful golden color.
Beautiful Red Cedar!
Beautiful workbench! Nice craftsmanship too!
Nice photos! What did you mill the willow with? I love the color of willow but isn't it very unstable wood? Cracks and warping a lot?
Hello Dynodave, could I trouble you for a copy of the 015l repair manual? I have a disassembled 015l that I would like to get running again.
Sure looks like an old 2100. Great saw. I have had several of them and it was the largest saw that Husky made until they came out with the 3120 in the late 80s.
Thanks for the pix. I will check my 028 out for clarification.
95% of my Stihl parts come from the local OEM dealer, who is VERY helpful.
(they KNOW they can't sell me a new saw, but look to solicit a reputation as a good and helpful dealership)
A very few obsolete/NLA parts come from ebay, which they(dealer) recommend as the next best option.
where can i get a new oiler for an028 wood-boss av?
Yeah parts are pretty rare, think my best bet would be to buy a complete saw and take what I need.
I totally agree with all of what your sayin .... Except the time to build should be more like 3hrs given you have all the parts and tools you need.
I'm not to sure I just put it on the shelf for now it runs just needs a paint job. Hard to find parts for them? Random not, Stihl 038 was my first O/S build 52mm big bore I miss that saw haha
What sort of fuel tank vent does it have? I'm after one for my 270..

I've been to busy to even think about the 090 clone build last # I had all said and done was around 500-700$ EBay if you real dig you can find anything there.IJS I would build a 660 before the 090, I think you can keep it at 400-500$. Good luck Guys!
Couple of questions here, where did you get those chinese parts from, how long does it take you to built that thing and how much is it money-wise, may I ask?
I pickup up both the orange and grey from a Stihl dealer close to where I am. Only cost me around 10 bucks per can. The ceramic clear coat makes up for it though, a little pricey.
Nice looking saw. Looks great. I Picked up an 056 as a box of parts. Where did you find the paint for it?
Bang for buck what do you think? My Granberg showed up 3 days Holzforma 6weeks. There pretty close I actually like Holz's top cross brace tightening bolts better and there tool kit. If you need it now I would bite the bullet and go Granberg local. Both awsome rite!
Great work m8!
There's nothing like an old MAC to me!!
Looks Awesome! Great job!!
Yikes!! Ask for pro help on that scary thing....or risk it Wind is not a friend to that tree. And looks of good size.
She's a beaut. Love the custom carry case.
I'll let you know now that I have zero knowledge on trees, I'm purely a chainsaw guy, but I think that one has probably come pretty close to the end of it's life. It seems like it's got a lot of weight on either side and is a serious split waiting to happen, not really sure if bolting it together would buy you any time on this one.
It was a little hairy. Thank you Jesus for guiding my saw, hands and feet.
That's a scary fell rite there wow.
This is Judd
The 076 is gravitation-ally challenged . it likes sitting on the ground. Or chewing big logs.
and yes I know, they shouldn't be on the concrete.but its very old concrete and it was just for the photo
I have the same saw do u know how many cc is it ga boy
Quite the collection: 041 gear!! Wow! I am partial to the 076 Super (my milling and BIG wood saw).
