Quick question. I currently have a MS310 I am going to give/sell to my son and am thinking of a 361 to replace it. What's the cutting difference between the 2? Also how about the difference between the 310 and a 260 with 3/8 chain. Logs are coming in a few weeks so need to buy soon.

First I am no pro but I have a 290 and bought a 361 after the threads I saw on here. There is in my opinion is a definite between these category's of homeowner and pro saws. The 290 just sits. It runs fine just not the same. I don't know about curing cancer or not but the 361 is fun to run. I don't know to much about the 310 I think it is in the same family of 290 so my guess is you would think the same.

One fast cutting saw! I have had both and your son will start at the smaller end of the log so he does'nt get embarassed.
