Husky Warrenty Transferable?

I bought an 08 346XP NE off a friend, he bought it new last fall. Is the 2 year warrenty transferable to me? Not that it matters, but he never cut wood with it as his health wouldn't allow it. I would think a dealer would honor the warrenty by the build date on the serial number?

Actually him and I live an hour and a half apart. It might not matter, if the saw is what everyone touts it to be.......it'll last forever!
