Stihl MS360. Chain Oiler Problems.

Can anyone confirm that I'm not the only one who hates the MS360 bar chain oiler? I have replaced the oil hose 5 times. Bar oil spews down the inside of the clutch cover, gets into the clutch and just makes a mess of your boots and ground when you are running it. The oil tubes just plain melt till they leak. Why is this? The saw runs amazingly well except for this issue. I have bought aftermarket tubing to replace the OEM stihl tubing and the issue still exsists. I believe the root of the problem is the clutch heat melting the tube. However, I run the saw really hard and have never had any problems with the clutch. Just wanted ya'll's thoughts as the dealer has not been able to help me. My next step is to somehow see if I can fab some copper tubing to do the job....this Stihl oiler is high maintenance.

That sounds really strange. I hate those stihl hose kits. I always seem to tweak them wrong and cause a bad bend. I assume the clutch is the problem, creating heat from slipping. Maybe the shoes are worn or the springs are weak. That would cause the clutch to slip and create heat.

The only thing I don't like about the ms360 is that the oiler is a little weak, seems to be slight problem shared by most stihls.

I thought that mine was a bit weak too... Stihl literature claims that their oil system consisting of oiler, BAR and chain use less oil by directing the oil to the rivets. All I know is there is definitely less oil coming from ms360 than from my Echo and the old Poulan 3700.
