All,
Looking to make some changes. I have a 028 and an 038 mag. Love the pair but I need a little top handle job and was thinking of going for a MS361 as the big saw. Now I know I could just buy a new top handle. But with all that I have going and what my needs are I was thinking of changing the battery all the way round.

The local dealers are Stihl and that is why I am focusing on them. There are lots of good saws out there of many brands but having a good dealer that I want to use is improtant to me. So, would you select an MS361 or a MS441 for all around cutting needs? Which top handle would you pick?

Thanks as always for the help. Cheers, Jason

i'm not far from you and the 361 or 441 would do what you need.

if you're constantly in 25" wood, go with the 441.

otherwise you're good to go with the 361.

I bought a 441 last weekend. I was looking at both the 361 and 441. I went with the bigger saw and I am very pleased with it. Very smooth and powerful. Its a little heavier but it cuts so quick its less tiring to use than the small saw to me.

Top handle = Stihl ms200t

It's a little heavier than a ms192t, but has A LOT more power.

The other way to look at it is in weight.. the ms192t is lighter and A LOT cheaper than the ms200t.

:monkey:you cant make up your mind the 200 is the better just like the 020s we climb with back in the 80s tom trees

I bought all new stihls and the only one in my line up that impressed me on the first tank of mix was the 361. That sucker is a quick cutting saw! I've owned alot of large saws other than Stihl. My saws now goes as follows ms192, ms170 aka the wifes, ms210, ms270, ms361, ms460, ms660 and the 088. 20'' logs most of the time I would go with the 361. Any larger on a regular basis I would jump to the 460.
