is there a reason factories set the idle screw so high?

every single saw i have bought has the idle screw set to max and the saw smokes until you lower idle speed. it scary and dangerous. why do they do it?

because its box stores that do not know didlisquat about saws period all they know is how to make money thats all they care about they do not care about safety or anything else just want to put the local dealer out of business is all they want

if people would support there dealers instead of them box stores then you would not have a issue with the carb adjustments

then they send the saws to the dealer to fix and the dealer has sawson the rack readyto be purchased no wonder alot of dealers refuse to work on saws bought elsewhere

gotto excuseme if i sound a little blunt but i am not very happy right now

If I was hurtin' for business, I would be fixing every thing that came through the door.

:agree2:

My business is hurting too. The economy has done that to a lot of us. Nobody ever attracted customers by being glum and angry, however, so I keep my chin up, make jokes and look on the bright side of life. People are a lot more willing to hire someone happy than someone grumpy.

Oh, and I have no idea why saws come set that way. :D

I have noticed that whenever a stihl goes in th get serviced, it allways comes back chattering away sounding like it has had WAYY to much coffee.
Same with the tach owning guys that like to set the "factory idle".

you hear a 90cc saw going pununun durde dundun de dun dur dun, polishing the clutch.
when it should be somthing more like, dun dun dun dundun dun dun dun dun dun....

lol..
